Rebel Inc. Releases New CD

 Rebel Inc. began as an idea between fiends in 2001 in Detroit Michigan.   The two friends picked up another local friend and relocated to Baltimore Maryland where the idea became reality.  All security of friends and family was sacrificed to chase the dream of inspiring others toward positive change in America, as well as holding corrupt individuals accountble for their actions.  Dominant guitar riffs accented by powerful drum beats and influential lyrics that will punch you in the face and leave you stunned.  The bands message is “Wake Up America!”.  The band has toured across the country sposored by the Iraqi Veterans against the War.  Rebel Inc. is a high energy band.

A woman who discovered the truth about 911 expresses her dilemma through her music.  Aimee Allen talks about her “Truth” transformation on the Alex Jones show on Friday March 20th 2009, including her experience with the CIA. Warned not to sing songs about “REVOLUTION” so close to 911 Aimee Allen was shocked to find that the CIA considered her a “person of interest” during her stint with Electra Records. The label folded into Atlantic Records prior to releasing her material and needless to say the young partriot/artist was squashed by the music industry behemoth. Aimee also recalls a story of how she was almost beaten to death by random unknown attackers after mentioning the CIA during an event just days prior.

British police require that Form 696 be filled out in advance if any music event is to be performed .  This is the biggest and may I say the most blatant attack on liberty in the music industry I’ve ever seen.

Over 70 Venues Must Fill In Police Ethnicity Form
The Metropolitan Police’s Form 696 appears to be used more widely in London now, with over 70 venues in London having to supply full details of performers 14 days in advance of the event, according to industry bible Music Week.

The form is used by the police to provide risk assessments about the danger of events to public order. But it has proved highly controversial, especially the bit where it asks ‘Music style to be played/performed’.

The suggested genres it gives in this section – ‘eg. bashment, r&b, garage’ – seems to single out music styles favoured by the black community (see image).

In addition, the information that the form requests – full name, home address, mobile numbers and aliases artists use onstage – is likely to be difficult for a promoter to collate, particularly at a large multi-genre event involving international artists.

UK Music’s Feargal Sharkey, formerly the singer with post-punk band The Undertones, has raised concerns about its potential misuse. He suggested that conclusions drawn from the likely ethnicity of the audience could lead to licensing decisions being made based on racial discrimination.

Sharkey reportedly has plans to meet government minister Gerry Sutcliffe, responsible for licensing issues, and the Metropolitan police over the next couple of weeks to raise his concerns.

Anyone who doesn’t supply full details on Form 696 may have their event cancelled, and “may jeopardise future events by the promoter or the venue”. Venues risk a £20,000 fine if they don’t file a form for each event they are putting on.

As previously reported on Rivmixx, Jon McClure of Wall Of Sound band Reverend & The Makers started an online petition against Form 696.

The petition calls on Prime Minister Gordon Brown to “scrap the unnecessary and draconian use of the 696 Form from London music events”.

“We believe [Form 696] places unnecessary and frankly Orwellian powers in the hands of the Metropolitan Police, an institution which does not have the best record of racial fairness,” the petition states. “The 696 form can only serve to deter the staging of live musical events – a positive form of activity in London and all cities – stifle free expression and quite possibly penalise certain genres of music and ethnic audiences. It is an intrusion too far.”

At present Form 696 is only operational in London, but it could be rolled out to the rest of the UK soon.
